In an effort to make their brand more accessible worldwide, Google is dropping its long-time naming strategy for its operating system updates. Since Android OS 1.5 came out, the tech giant has been naming its operating systems after desserts. Here are all the differently named operating systems for Android to date. Notice how they’ve been named in alphabetical order:

Android 1.5 Cupcake
Android 1.6 Donut
Android 2.0 Éclair
Android 2.2 Froyo
Android 2.3 Gingerbread
Android 3.0 Honeycomb
Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
Android 4.4 KitKat
Android 5.0 Lollipop
Android 6.0 Marshmallow
Android 7.0 Nougat
Android 8.0.0: Oreo
Android 9: Pie

With the release of the OS 10, Android is moving away from its sweet name picks and abandoning names altogether in favor of simply using a number to make the OS clear. Google says the change has come about because not all users in all countries were familiar with the desserts or their names.

In a related move, Android’s logo also got a facelift. The robot has not changed considerably, but its color has: the new color is a blue green that can be seen by users with green-red color blindness, the most common type of color blindness in the world. The bot’s previous color was not viewable to those users.
