Evolve, IP has released a study of more than 500 business professionals showing the way the pandemic is expected to affect the future of enterprise businesses and their employees.
The survey found that 60 percent of the employees interviewed reported being less likely to look for a new job as a result of being able to work from home. Only 14 percent said they would be much more likely to look for another job as a result of working from home.
Although only about 5 percent of companies have reported increasing salaries for their now-remote employees, 13 percent of those employees have reported an increase in compensation, which is likely due to less money spent on commuting, lunch out and clothing costs.
Fifty-five percent of C-Suite executives surveyed said they expected their employees to continue to work from home after the pandemic quarantine ends. This is good news for the 65 percent of employees who have said they’d prefer to work from home three or more days a week moving forward. Although there is some disagreement between employees and their bosses on just how much more effective they are working from home, 75 percent of employees and 34 percent of their bosses say employees are more productive and efficient working from home. The employees and executives who thought employees worked better from home agreed that their productivity is up 25 to 31 percent.
