Self-driving truck technology is moving further into the spotlight as an enterprise technological solution.

Plus, a trucking company that provides self-driving truck technology across the world, has partnered with Hennessey Capital Investment Corp V and is planning to go public in the near future.

Plus is the owner of a proprietary software that is used for automated trucks, allowing them to safely and intelligently drive vehicles without a human driver. The autonomous trucking technology company plans to start mass production of its hardware that allows trucks to drive themselves. Their technology, PlusDrive, includes a data engine that uses real-time information, allowing it to continuously update algorithms to improve performance and safety. PlusDrive uses LiDAR, radar and cameras that make up their 360-degree sensing system.

“We are excited to partner with Plus on their mission to make long-haul trucking safer, cheaper, and better for the environment,” said Daniel J. Hennessy, Chairman and CEO of Hennessey Capital.

Upon closing of the deal with Hennessey Capital and going public, Plus’ post-combination market capitalization is estimated to be $3.3 billion.
