In August 2021, Samsung released Kiosk, an enterprise-level, all-in-one solution for accepting payments and facilitating contactless ordering. Now available in 12 countries, Samsung Kiosk has been made possible through collaborations with a number of fintech partnerships.
Featuring an energy-efficient design and touchscreen displays, Samsung Kiosks can accept a number of payment options as well as read barcodes and QR codes. It features a built-in printer and WIFI connectivity. It can sit on a countertop, mount to a wall, and is also available for use with a customized stand.
The Kiosk uses Samsung Knox technology for their multilayered security that protects customer data, hardware and the payment software simultaneously. Using Tizen, an open-source Linux-based operating system, gives Kiosk the advantage of being highly adaptable to new and existing technologies, including HTML5, JavaScript and CSS.
A number of enterprise business types will benefit from the Samsung Kiosk solution. Fast food restaurants, coffee shops and other food service restaurants can use them to facilitate ordering. Retails stores can use them for simplifying in-store pickups, or for requesting items from storage. Medical providers could use them for patient check ins. Transportation companies can use them to keep track of shipment progress.
Samsung is joined by a number of international fin tech and point of sales solutions partners in bringing this new technology to its enterprise clients, including EyeLook Media, 900 Solutions Corp., Big Digital and Eflyn.
